Maya Bay is a beautiful beach located on the island of Phi Phi Leh in the Krabi province of Thailand. It gained worldwide recognition as the filming location for the movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio in 2000.

The beach is surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and features crystal-clear waters, white sand, and a diverse array of marine life, making it a popular destination for snorkeling and scuba diving. However, due to the high number of visitors, Maya Bay has suffered from environmental degradation, and the Thai government has closed it to tourists since 2018 to allow for its rehabilitation.

The closure was initially intended to last only for a few months, but it has since been extended indefinitely to ensure that the ecosystem has time to recover fully. From the airport, travelers can take a taxi, shuttle bus, or private transfer to their accommodation.
2. Bus:.                                                    Krabi has a central bus station that offers services to and from several destinations, including Bangkok, Phuket, and Surat Thani. Buses are generally affordable and comfortable, and they offer a good way to see the countryside.
3. Ferry:                                                 Many visitors choose to arrive in Krabi via ferry, as there are several daily services from Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, and other nearby islands. Ferries are often the most convenient way to get to some of the more remote islands in the region.
